The Karnataka State Government has revised the house rent allowance (HRA) of its employee with effect from January 1, 2010.
The revised HRA is 25 per cent of the basic pay of employees in ‘A' grade city, 16 per cent, 10 per cent, 7 per cent and 6 per cent of basic pay in grade B-1, B-2, C, D and E cities/towns, respectively, according to a government notification.
The State Government Employees' Association has welcomed the Government's decision, a press note said.
