The posts in the existing pay scale of Rs. 16400-22400 have been placed in the pay band of Rs. 37400-67000 with a stipulation that those recruited on or after 1.1.09 would receive minimum of Rs. 43000 + RGP of Rs. 10000. In partial modification of these instructions it has been decided that minimum of Rs. 43000 would be admissible to those recruited directly as per revised qualifications to be notified by ICAR separately. The sense of betrayal among young teachers, due to the attitude of the MHRD, UGC and the DUTA/FEDCUTA Leadership is almost complete, it is necessary to take a closer look at certain figures understand the betrayal.
